Review: Rago Shapette Firm Control Brief
For the second requested review, I'm going to talk about the Rago Shapette Firm Control Brief. I purchased these from a fairly under-the-radar seller, Brabarella, and I just want to give her a quick positive commendation. Not only does she charge significantly less than her competitors, she also really delivers in terms of customer service. I absolutely suggest giving her site a looksee.
If you've read my blog for any length of time, you know that I'm big fan of Rago shapewear. Rago has been in the girdle making business for decades, and it shows. If you're new to the world of retro lingerie, Rago is the definitive "starter" brand.
The Rago panty girdle is composed of 70% nylon, 30% spandex and comes with four detachable garters. This particular design has the trademark tummy control diamond at the front, along with the patented Rago shaping bands along the hips and rear. The sides are seamless, but there is one single seam at the center rear. Because the panty is a brief style, it gives full coverage front and back, and extends to just above the navel, at approximately your natural waist.
While I do believe the Rago panty girdle is a good buy overall, I also want to make a few brief notes about fit. One, this panty does not come with a cotton crotch, so my female readers would want to be cautious about wearing it for long periods of time. Two, if your hips measure 10" or more larger than your waist, I'd recommend going up one size. My hip-waist measurements are 28-40" ,and even then I found the leg openings a bit snug at the back. I had no problems with this panty bunching, riding, or moving about and it gave me great lines under my denim pencil skirt. At only $21.99 from Brabarella, you really can't go wrong here.
