Silk & Lace: An Afternoon with Tigz Rice Studios
While in the UK for the Oxford Conference of Corsetry, I also managed to fit in a shoot with Tigz Rice Studios, who you may remember from What Katie Did's recent Spring/Summer 2015 Lookbook.
Tigz is a well-respected fashion and editorial photographer who's worked with everyone from Benefit Cosmetics to Cosmopolitan Magazine. I was delighted to hear that she had time in her schedule to work with me as it's always been a dream of mine to be photographed by her.
Just like my photoshoot with Morgana, I paid Tigz's regular rate (no discounts, freebies, or other perks), so you're getting the perspective of a real client.
What matters most to me when I'm deciding whether or not to work with a photographer is how comfortable I feel with them... not just in the sense of feeling safe in my lingerie, but also if I'll need to worry that they'll cancel on me if a "better" client comes up or if I'll need to be concerned they'll sell or publish my photos behind my back (two things that've actually happened, unfortunately). It's not made me wary exactly, but it's perhaps made me pickier than I might've been a couple of years ago.
Tigz and I did these photos in a friend's studio, and she was perfect to work with. On time, incredibly professional, and super quick about getting the finished images back to me (which is all the more impressive considering that she shot at the Oxford Conference of Corsetry that very same weekend!). I love these images, and I'm happy that I had the chance to work with her.
The blue silk camisole and knicker set in the first two photos is by Fleur of England, and were a gift. The stockings in those same photos are by Nubian Skin, and were purchased by me. The black and gold lace bra and panty set in the third photo is by Edge O' Beyond, with the bra purchased by me from Journelle and the knickers a gift from the brand.
The lace and silk chemise in the fourth and fifth photos is by Angela Friedman, and was purchased by me. The Trashy Diva robe in the fourth photo, and the Naked Princess robe in the fifth photo were also personal purchases. Makeup is by Miss Honey Bare.
What do you think of these images by Tigz Rice? Is a lingerie shoot something you've tried?
