Introducing NK iMode: Silk Nightwear and Bridal Lingerie
What better way to start the new year than by discovering a dreamy lingerie brand? NK iMode has been around since 1995, yet recent rebranding of the company has resulted in an exquisite silk nightwear and bridal collection that is as pretty as it gets.
These are thoroughly romantic pieces that are meant to be indulged in not only for weddings and honeymoons, but for many years to come. The color palette of this collection is truly magical - pale shell pink, dusty rose, soft lilac, and robin's egg blue compliment more traditional ivory and champagne. Intricate lace bodices and delicate inset panels add further feminine charm.
The long dressing gowns and robes with full sleeves and sweeping hems are the standouts of the collection, and would make a lucky bride-to-be feel like a princess while prepping for her big day. The bodice of the pale pink gown is designed to provide gentle support and is lined for modesty. But the back of the gown is where the drama is at! The deeply cut back features lace panels that curve over hips and accentuate your curves. The gown is fastened with a satin bow with long ties that flirt with your lower back and is just begging to be untied.
The short, swingy chemises and babydolls come in both silk and chiffon styles with matching lacy knickers. Two-part cups provide gentle shaping, while a wide lace band under the bust gives some support. My favorite in this series is the icy blue with shimmering taupe lace appliques. Such a pretty and unique colorway, and a lovely twist on the "something blue" for brides.
Other pieces from the collection include camisoles with matching tap panties that are imminently wearable. The camisole has lined cups making it appropriate for wearing out in the world. And those darling tap panties are made for wearing under your favorite skirts with a cut that is skimming but still body conscious. Isn't the lace trim on the hem lovely?
NK iMode will be releasing items on its site in March, though the brand is celebrating with a pre-launch of select items at Selfridges.
