Gilda & Pearl pretty much has a permanent spot on the TLA lust list. I've been talking about them since at least 2009, when I featured their 'How to Marry a Millionaire' bra set in a Christmas shopping guide dedicated to Etsy lingerie. I love beautiful fabrics, and Gilda & Pearl uses some of the most gorgeous silks, laces, and meshes I've seen. I'm also really impressed at how focused the founder's (Diane Houston) design aesthetic has been from the very beginning. Very often a new brand needs a few seasons to figure out what they're about and to really refine their point of view. But Gilda & Pearl has had an incredibly solid presentation since 2008. And, of course, I also like that all their collection is ethically produced, something I'm paying more and more attention to as I learn about the industry (and have more disposable income).
Like the Agent Provocateur 'Classics' reshoot from a few months ago, you won't see anything crazy-groundbreaking here. But if you're new to Gilda & Pearl or if you just haven't seen them in awhile, this photoshoot is a pleasant introduction. Gilda & Pearl's size range is S-L, however bespoke and custom sized options are available. Unfortunately however, underwire bras cannot be made custom or bespoke.
What are your thoughts on Gilda & Pearl? Is this a luxury brand you would try?
