Hopeless Lingerie just released their latest collection yesterday, and, as usual, I am in love. Gaby really pushes herself and Hopeless' aesthetic with every new release, and it's exciting to watch this indie designer go from an underground sensation to a brand that makes regular appearances in fashion magazines and music videos. Usually, I try to limit our new collection photos to the top 10 or 15, but I liked so much from Hopeless, that I just couldn't bear to edit things that much. Her new range is named "Phases," and Gaby herself shared a few words about the collection exclusively for The Lingerie Addict:
"The collection is visually and metaphorically about my journey with Hopeless, the growth of the brand and all the highs and lows that I have experienced over the past few years. I have looked in particular at the phases of the moon, and the elliptical shapes created by the orbit of planets. Most of the new pieces feature curved lines to visually reflect this. As everything has been growing so quickly I want to make sure I remember the beginnings and keep Hopeless handmade and independent --- so the circular motif is very important for me right now.
This year I've grown from basically a team of two --- my sister doing all the posting and accounts and me doing everything else --- to now having three ladies helping me with sewing orders, two interns, a cutter, another helping with packing and most recently a wonderful friend who is helping answer emails and manage everything. Its an incredibly exciting time but also very challenging, and I really hope I can keep everything flowing in the right direction. I don't want to lose what makes Hopeless special as it gets bigger, so I am just trying to take one thing at a time and keep putting one foot in front of the other."
Standout favorites for me include the Luna Suspender, Valentina Bodysuit, and the Gracie Merino Cami. What are your favorite pieces?
