If you’re already on Tumblr, you probably knew this day was inevitable.
As a lingerie blogger, I come across literally dozens of beautiful lingerie photos every week. And I never share most of them simply because I don’t have a place to put them. But no more. As of yesterday, I now have a photoblog dedicated to gorgeous lingerie photography.
I’m pretty new to Tumblr, so I’m still figuring things out…but I am incredibly excited about its potential. The Lingerie Addict Tumblr won’t replace the main blog of course, but I do hope it becomes just one more place for us to share the lingerie love.
I don’t usually post personal things to the blog (mostly because I assume you come here for the lingerie and not for me), but some days I can’t help but write about the really important things that are happening in my life…even if they are especially intimate.
As I’m sure you’ve noticed from the title, I’m in love.
I’ve never been in love before. I thought I’d been, but I wasn’t really. I’ve been in like. I’ve been in lust. But definitely not love.
I make no secret of my undying love for Kiss Me Deadly lingerie. Their lingerie is flirty, sassy, sexy…and did I mention affordable? Of all the lingerie brands I talk about on the blog, they’re one of the few I make a point of buying from every season.
When Catherine, the designer behind Kiss Me Deadly, sent me the photos from her latest ad campaign, I was smitten…both at the new collection and at her razor sharp wit. I thought you might get a kick out them too and that’s why Kiss Me Deadly is the subject of this week’s Photo Friday.
I’m very excited to feature photography from an artist I didn’t even know existed until two days ago–Aaron Feaver. Aside from having an awesome name, I love Feaver’s photographs for how natural and unfussy they look…as if he just happened upon a gorgeous model in the middle of nowhere.
What do you think of his work? And please take a moment to visit his blog where you’ll find lots more gorgeous photography from a range of artists.
A fashion photographer out of Moscow, Russia, Irina Davis’ pictures are a delightful take on the classic Gil Elvgren girl. I wasn’t able to find much of a bio for her, but I believe this is one of those occasions where her work speaks for itself. What’s your favorite Irina Davis pin-up photo? Let me know in the comments!
Have you ever noticed someone from across a room and knew you recognized them, but couldn’t remember from where?
That’s how I feel about Rankin’s photography. Even though I’ve seen his work all over the internet, I’ve only just now realized that he’s the one behind it. And it’s a pleasure to share to share his pictures with you.
So tell me, what’s your favorite photo?
Every Photo Friday is super exciting to me, but this one is really special. For the first time ever, I’m featuring the work of one of my readers, fellow lingerie addict and fashion blogger, Ligeia Noir.
I can’t recall when Ligeia and I first crossed paths, but I’m pretty sure our mutual love of lingerie had something to do with it. Her excitement for art and fashion is nearly tangible, and it’s a great honor for me to show her work here.
A few months ago, during a sightseeing trip to Portland, I ran across several stunning photographs of corsetted women in flowers and skull makeup at a vintage clothing shop. I could never remember who shot the images, but I do remember being absolutely captivated by them.
So imagine my delight when I rediscovered the artist behind those photographs at YUHMM Magazine (warning: NSFW). 666 Photography captures the retro, pin-up, and burlesque aesthetic that I’m so fond of, but manages to put her own unique stamp on it. What do you think of the sample from her portfolio below?
Willy Hutch is a fairly new discovery, and I found him via the always fashionable Morgana. Mr. Hutch’s love of the pin-up aesthetic is obvious in his work, and I can’t wait to see his lingerie photography really take off.
My favorite photo is of the leopard print corset. But then, I may just be biased towards those gorgeous Wolford tights! Which one’s your favorite?
